Game review :
Numbers (Puzzle) - I found myself spending half my day playing this game the first time I tried it. It is far more enjoyable to solve its 120 different problems than to do traditional math questions, even though we are really doing the same thing. It teaches basic addition, subtracting, division and multiplication in addition to algebra and the process of elimination. It is an absolute delight for children and young adults to play and I highly recommend it for teaching mathematics to kids that dislike textbook math questions.
123 Game - A fantastic alternative to traditional chess. With over 4,000,000 copies sold and winning 11 awards around the world, it is needless to say that this game has proven itself to be an excellent choice for a 2-player competitive game. Pushing rows of marbles, the player attempts to push 6 of his adversary’s marbles out of the board. The rules are simple: as long as your row has more marbles than the opposition and none of your own marbles are behind them, you can push the opponent and attempt to knock him out. People of all ages can play, although marbles should be kept away from toddlers as they are a choking hazard. If you like chess, you will enjoy this game just as much.
Prince & Dragon - An incredibly simple concept. A deceivingly difficult brainteaser. This award-winning game has 1001 solutions to only 24 questions, and yet finding just one is quite a feat. Endless hours can be spent trying to build roads that lead the prince and dragon to their respective destinations without ever crossing paths. It is highly recommended for children above the age of 5 to play this game, as it helps improve their problem-solving abilities from a young age. Even adults will find this game challenging, however, so it is suitable for all ages.
3D Magic Squares - This game is an excellent choice for a family game. It allows a maximum of 4 players to construct a 3D structure with 11 blocks each. Players aim to have as many visible blocks as possible at the top of the structure. Strategy and spatial awareness is a must to win the game. A challenging puzzle that improves critical thinking and bonds friends and family alike!
