This question tests the ability of students to decide the size of the shadow based on the distance between the light source and the object (or distance between the screen and the object).

 allows the students to vary the the distance between the

(1) light source and the object,

(2) object and the screen,

(3) size of the object.

Students who have a chance to "play" this set-up are very confident with different types of PSLE shadow related questions.
